The following articles are offered as a resource for anyone beginning the
inner process of a spiritual path, and true personal growth. Many begin a
spiritual journey to avoid the pain and suffering of daily life. This is a
place to start. The path I offer, is a step beyond the pain and suffering associated with the
avoidance of what you don’t want and desiring what you want.
Ironically, ones spiritual practice can become the obstacle to
self-realization. There is
another way. A way of stopping every effort toward what you think will
give you truth and peace, so that truth and peace can naturally reveal themselves
from within.
Much of culture today, is driven by values derived from secularism and the
media, and is devoid of an inner moral and ethical compass. Many are adrift
in a sea of materialism, looking for their identity and validation, through the
acquisition of things, the bigger the better. The more things acquired, the
greater the feelings of emptiness, pain and separation from self. The
anger and rage
this separation engenders, is seen acted out on the streets every day. There are many painful
psychological afflictions that are fostered by this outer search for self.
Nothing external can validate what is eternal and infinite within.
I include articles on narcissism, as it is a primary feature of the lives of
many, as the media, for a generation has hypnotized the masses, telling them they
must define themselves through externals. Advertisers drive home the message
that you are not enough, but if you buy more stuff, stay home and watch
television, you will be happy. This an abusive, degrading and violent message.
This pop- culture message, is the drug, the reflection, and the religion of the
disconnected unconscious masses and drives nearly every addiction.
I invite you to read these materials and initiate your path of inner knowing,
self-love and self-respect. When you know who you are, you become the
vehicle and expression of that knowing in the world. Then true abundance follows
on every level and flows from everything you do. Everything begins to flow
from the new found center with ease.
